Spain is a country with a wealth of experiences to explore and savour, and I can’t seem to get enough! Even for an experienced traveller, with so much to see and do, it can sometimes be a happy challenge to get a taste of the very best on offer.

Our group joined an exclusive flamenco dance lesson at the Cristina Hereen Foundation in Seville, recipient of a grant from our sustainable foundation, TreadRight, and we were given a gentle introduction into the passionate and complex nuances of this beautiful, traditional discipline. We learned just how intense daily training rigours can be to master and perfect the physical shapes and form, only to be able to let this all go in a state of heightened emotion and expression, termed ‘duende’. That evening we were thrilled to watch the incredible professional dancers and musicians at the renowned Teatro Flamenco Triana, who inspired gasps, yelps and tears of appreciation, and brought the entire audience to their feet.  

Spain and I continue our love affair, and who can fault me, really? The Insight Vacations Highlights of Spain is a 9-day Spanish frolic that more than happily delivers on its name.
